JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Senior QA Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring that VeryPay’s products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role involves creating and executing test plans, implementing automated testing solutions, and ensuring the end-to-end quality control of products before release. The ideal candidate should have experience in both manual and automation testing, as well as expertise in managing test strategies.
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases, covering both manual and automated testing.
- Perform manual testing across web and mobile applications to identify bugs, issues, and inconsistencies.
- Develop and maintain automation test suites using appropriate tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage of functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify test requirements and maintain product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Monitor and report on product quality, ensuring timely identification of risks and issues.
- Lead troubleshooting of issues and facilitate resolution in close collaboration with the development team.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes and best practices to enhance the testing lifecycle.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to building a strong quality culture within the team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in both manual and automation testing for web and mobile applications.
- At least 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, with a focus on both manual and automation processes.
- Expertise in creating and managing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and quality control strategies.
- Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or equivalent.
- Excellent understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the payments industry, with knowledge of payment gateways and wallet systems.
- Familiarity with security testing and ensuring the protection of sensitive data.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Experience mentoring and leading junior QA team members.
