Key Responsibilities

As part of SmartDev’s aggressive growth plan we are looking to expand our leadership team.   

The role will report to the CEO and will be based out of our Hanoi or Danang office. This role will require you to travel between our offices and will also involve occasional international travel.  

The Chief Commercial Officer is responsible for day-to-day management of the sales and business development efforts of the company as well as overseeing the end to end engagement maintain client satisfaction. This includes identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, and leading the sales team to achieve revenue targets and working closely with COO and the rest of the senior management team to insure smooth and efficient delivery. CCO will also make a significant individual contribution closing deals with selected strategically important clients. Additionally, the CCO will work closely with the rest of the senior management team to develop and execute the company’s overall business strategy, including sales and marketing schemes.  

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and execute a sales and business development strategy that meets or exceeds revenue targets.  
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential partnerships and strategic alliances.  
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all commercial matters.  
  • Lead and manage the sales team, providing guidance, coaching and mentoring to ensure their success.  
  • Collaborate with the rest of the senior management team to develop and execute the company’s overall business strategy.  
  • Assess market trends and customer needs and adapt the sales strategy accordingly.  
  • Ensure the sales team is aligned with the company’s core values and culture.  
  • Identify and negotiate new contracts and manage renewals of existing contracts.  
  • Provide regular reports to the management team on the company’s sales performance and pipeline.  
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.  

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in Sales as a Senior Director or Chief Commercial/Sales Officer role, preferably in IT services, software development, or outsourcing. A strong background in B2B enterprise sales is essential. 
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies that have resulted in significant revenue growth. Experience with complex sales cycles and large deal negotiations. 
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including experience leading and mentoring a sales team.  
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and partners.  
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.  
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.  
  • Ability to travel as required.  
  • The Chief Commercial Director will be a key member of the management team and will play a critical role in the growth and success of the company.
